Slacker

Ever since I wrote the post a while back that contained excerpts from my blog with the "truth" underneath, I have tried not to be all sunshine and birdies and flowers. Or whatever it is. Trying to be more real and raw.
Having said that, I will say this. Some things are too hard. Some things are too ugly.
So, please forgive my blog slacking self. It was hard for me to even say that I had something that I couldn't say. That made no sense but..well, read it again.

Some things that are going on, that I would love to share...

*Olivia's MRI was normal, which is what the doctor expected. This will serve as a basis for future MRI's to reference what normal is. It makes it easier to see a tumor if you know what normal looks like. For those of you that don't know....she may have neurofibromitosis. It's a genetic disease that comes in two types. One is more serious than the other. She's going to see an opthamologist and a medical geneticist to see which type she has. You can read more about it here and you can also read about our day at the hospital here.
We may get to go on an airplane to see the geneticist and Olivia is very excited about that.
I feel at peace about it and I'm trying not to think or read too much about it until I know for sure.

*I took an excruciatingly long 2 day QuickBooks class last week to help me get ready to take over the bookkeeping at Jimmy's shop. I'll be working with his current bookkeeper for a while and hopefully by mid-November I'll be doing it. It's going to save the shop quite a bit of money in insurance (they are already paying for mine) and wages. They'll be paying me a pittance...just enough to cover tuition at the kids' school. Oh well.

So, for tomorrow....since I don't want to make this too long....
I'll tell you more about the kids at school and about our plans for building.
